OUR HISTORY

Oasis Africa is a 19 year-old indigenous counseling and training organization based in Nairobi, Kenya, that has been equipping professional and lay counselors since 1990. Dr. Gladys Mwiti founded Oasis Africa with a purpose and commitment to bring healing to many hurting communities in our world, and to build leadership committed to integrity and accountability. As an organization we live out our values in our daily operations through our desire to continue building healed communities and individual transformation. We are guided by: -

Oasis Africa has a qualified and experienced team of 28 full-time and part-time professional personnel. We currently work with 20 part-time MA Counselors, who have qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Counseling, and Clinical Social Work. We also liaise with Medical Doctors and licensed psychiatrists. A full-time staff of 8 office personnel supports this team of counselors and trainers.
Oasis Africa operates in a setup where Board Members, Staff and Clients enjoy mutual partnerships that enhance co-ownership of the organization and its achievements.
